Proposal for PPI Coordination

Postby Valio » Mon Aug 03, 2009 10:57 pm

I would like to propose for Andrew Nortons former position here - PPI Cooordinator - for the time beeing

I don't want to sound arrogant. I don't assume I can grasp this task yet. I'm an idealistic guy from Switzerland and I feel the urge for an international coordination. Our goals are ultimately on a global level: We have to tackle international contracts, we want to change the world into something which suits better the informational age. It is of utmost importance that we - as parties together - find a common understanding.

I don't assume that I would work on things the exact way as Andrew did.
What I'd like to install is something sustainable. Taking over Andrews job, doing it for some time, stopping when I burned out and seeing that the succession is uncertain is the least I want to reach.

My vision is to have a co-presidency (2 people) within a core team of 5-10 people; not a single "presidency".
Furthermore a national delegate in each country that has an established party, which is will be a contact person for the core team. This person does not have to be in the board of directors but it should be in close contact with them.

Tell me what you think. I already told you: I'm an idealist ;)

BTW: Coretx would supports this. Also Jurgen is ok with that, if I'm convinced that I can really take it.

cheers
Patrick

Hey Patrick,

it can't be worse than now. It should be in everyones interest to keep the PPI running respectively getting it reorganized.

Your idea concerning the team is in my opinion the best way to avoid overwork.

Thanks for your engagement in the PPI.

Hello there,

I like idealistics persons, it's an endangered specie those days :)

Anyway, my main concern is to gather all PPs to make common actions, and create then a real structure.
Then we will be able to communicate moreover on our actions, because I find that right now, we are not enough present on the media plan.

I will not engage the voice of the French PP, but I do beleive that Valio's objectives are worth being considered, so I am willing to give my support to this.

As Vice Chairmenn of the German Pirates I want to say, that your idea of organising the whole process are exactly what I think is necessary. I appreciated Andrews work and I must say, you have big footsteps to follow. But PPI is quite quiet at the moment, so I think we could use someone with a bit of ambition. So I say: Give it a shot :)

I second this nomination. I think one single person cannot handle this task alone. Having a committee will ease the handling if someone resigns and will keep the structure and co-ordination stable.

Therefor I personally welcome Patrick's proposal.

Cheers,

As chairman of the french Parti Pirate, I agree with your proposals.

Cwicket seems to be yet engaged with you in the coordination. It's a good thing.

So, we all wish the best in the cooperation inter-pirate.
