Resilience in Germany: A Fragile State of Preparedness
Germany’s ability to ensure societal resilience has significantly declined in recent decades according to political scientist and PPI alternate board member Schoresch Davoodi. In a working paper, he warns that political complacency and socio-economic mismanagement expose the country to multifaceted vulnerabilities. Germany celebrated the stability of the 1990s and early 2000s without preparing for the disruptive forces of digital transformation, globalization, and geopolitical shifts.
