Happy 15th Birthday to the Pirate Party of Switzerland!

15 Years of the Pirate Party of Switzerland Fifteen years ago (July 12th, 2009), the Swiss Pirate Party was formed. Initially there were 124 members who came together in Zurich to form the party. They shared a vision of promoting digital rights, transparency, and freedom in an increasingly surveilled world. Today they continue their efforts together with many other Pirate parties around the world. They have (co-)launched numerous initiatives, given a voice to critical issues and created grassroots level changes in Swiss society. #Pirates4Ukraine: An International Pirate Campaign to support Ukrainian Refugees

  Pirate Parties International in collaboration with various PPI members are pleased to announce the official start of the ‘Pirates 4 Ukraine’ campaign. Pirates all over the world are devastated and angered by Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, the resulting humanitarian disaster, and the violence and repression towards both Ukrainians and anti-war activists in Russia. One of our brave colleagues and Chair of the Pirate Party of Norway, Svein Mork Dahl, is spending time at the Polish-Ukrainian border delivering aid to those who need it. INVITE: Pirate Aid for Ukraine

Dear Pirates, The PPI Board invites all of our members to join in a discussion and planning session around Pirate Aid for Ukraine. We would like to bring everyone together to coordinate our efforts on an international level to support Ukrainian refugees in a number of ways. This includes donations for medical supplies, food, travel expenses, as well as information sharing and infrastructure to support access to information.
