The Slovenian Pirate Party released a statement on April 3rd, 2026, marking the 10th anniversary of the Panama Papers. Today marks 10 years since the publication of the Panama Papers. One of the most extensive journalistic investigations in history uncovered millions of documents from the Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca. It revealed that numerous politicians, billionaires, and corporations around the world were hiding their assets in tax havens. Hiding actual ownership through shell companies and channeling funds into tax havens does not serve only tax evasion, but also fraud.
