Escalating Conflict in the Middle East: A Call for Peace and Diplomacy

We at Pirate Parties International (PPI) observe the recent escalation between Israel and Iran with profound concern. Israel claims to have launched preemptive strikes targeting Iranian nuclear and military facilities. However, the Netanyahu regime is already engaged in a devastating war in Gaza, and its military actions appear driven more by the political survival and legacy of his leadership. The international community deserves clear evidence and transparency regarding these attacks. On the other hand, the Iranian regime under Khamenei has also ruled atrociously. Iran continues to launch indiscriminate strikes on civilian centers, intentionally far from legitimate military targets. The Iranian regime’s persistent pursuit of nuclear weapons, support for terrorism targeting …

The Pirate Party of the Netherlands released the following statement about the ongoing conflict in Israel and Palestine. We have translated that statement from Dutch for the international community. We also remind our members and our friends from other organizations to let us know if you have any important political statements that you would like us to broadcast. Israel & Palestine March 25, 2025 by Mark van Treuren Since the outbreak of the latest conflict between Israel and Hamas, we have been confronted with inhumane situations. Dialogue Over Division: Pirate Parties and BDS

A recent article in the German Pirate affiliated Flaschenpost newspaper by Markus Schaub entitled “The working structure of BDS” describes a hierarchical and centrally coordinated movement with ties to terrorist groups. This image stands in contrast to the grassroots campaign many associate with BDS.  Within the Pirate Party movement, there is a notable divide. Many Pirates see BDS as a tool for Palestinian advocacy, an expression of civil disobedience, a legitimate form of protest against genuine attrocities of the Israeli government… Another contingent of our supporters, as depicted in Markus Schaub’s exposé, equate BDS’s goal as the extermination of Jews in Israel, the whitewashing of Hamas’s atrocities, an extension of Palestinian …

We are deeply saddened by the events in the region and extend our solidarity to the people of both nations who are suffering the consequences of this protracted conflict. We firmly reject violence and advocate for a peaceful and diplomatic solution. We encourage Palestinians and Israelis to pave the way for an enduring peace. The Palestine-Israel conflict serves as a litmus test for global peace, and the current scenario should make all nations concerned. We believe in a future where Israel and Palestine can coexist. It is important to note that many people can share territories while attaching …

Statement from Pirate Party of Israel on the Hamas Massacre of October 7th and the Gaza-Israel War

At sunrise on October 7th, thousands of participants at the peaceful NOVA music festival were brutally attacked and massacred by Hamas terrorists, resulting in over 260 butchered, and hundreds shot and injured. As an after-party, thousands of Hamas militants continued to carry out brutal massacres, torturing and mutilating bodies across civilian populations bordering the Gaza strip, killing men, women, children and pets indiscriminately. All this occurred amidst thousands of missiles being launched simultaneously towards urban communities across Israel. By sunset on October 7th there were over 1,400 killed and over 200 taken hostage, representing various nationalities worldwide.  The atrocities that occurred on October 7th haven’t been seen in this land …
