Pirate Statement on Homelessness for the United Nations

The following statement was made by Pirate Parties International headquarters (PPI HQ) for the Commission for Social Development (CSocD58) conference [1] on “affordable housing and social protection systems for all to address homelessness”. This year is special for the CSocD, which is celebrating 75 years. A Review of the 2019 PPI General Assembly

As many of you know our yearly General Assembly is held on December 7th and 8th. But from tomorrow you will be able to debate motions and give input through Discourse. On July 19, 2019 Pirates gathered again in New York City for the UN Sustainable Development Program and High Level Political Forum Pirate Parties International was chosen as one of 34 NGOs whose statements were approved to be made in front of the entire ECOSOC council. Pirates at the UNOG

This past week Pirate representatives Alex Kohler and Pat Mächler visited the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) at the United Nations Office At Geneva (UNOG). PPI has an amazing opportunity as a recognized member of the UN Economic and Social Affairs Committee (ECOSOC) to host and attend UN events in NY, Geneva, and around the world. EU elections 2019: Top Pirate Candidate interviews organized by PPEU and PPI

Israel Elections on April 9th. Pirates breaking the threshold!

The Pirate Party of Israel is participating in national elections, which will take place on April 9th, and they don’t stand a chance. However, this does not keep them from promoting change in society, and they are running a fierce campaign suggesting a way to break past barriers between the public and policy makers and overturn the system.
