Pirate Social Event: Pirate Beer! March 10th at 21:00 UTC

Hello Pirates! We invite you to join us for our monthly social, commonly known as “Pirate Beer”. This will be the first Pirate Beer since the last GA. When: Friday, March 10th at 21:00 UTC/22:00 CET Where: https://bbb.piratensommer.de/b/gre-cnw-a9v We decided to start this one a little bit later, since this month’s board meeting is earlier. IMPORTANT: GENERAL ASSEMBLY POSTPONED

Dear Pirates, We regret to inform you that the upcoming PPI General Assembly, which was originally set to take place this weekend, Saturday December 10th and Sunday December 11th 2022, will be postponed. The General Assembly will now take place during the weekend of January 28th and 29th 2023. We deeply apologize for any stress or inconvenience this may bring to you all. We understand that this situation is not ideal and it wasn’t an easy decision, but for various reasons we feel as though it is the right decision in the long run. United States Pirates become the newest addition to the PPI family!

Happy 4th of July to our American friends and we’re also happy to announce that at our General Assembly on Saturday the United States Pirate Party became the newest member of the PPI family. The vote has been unanimous; all members present voted to bring the USPP into the fold. This brings the current number of Pirate Parties gathered within the PPI to 31. Welcome!

Happy Birthday, PPI. After 12 years, we look forward to our teens. Currently, 54 organizations are members of Pirate Parties International. Membership in PPI is open to parties and other organizations. Individuals can also become supporting members. The goals of the association are: a) to act according to the major interests and goals of our members, b) to raise awareness and widen the spread of the pirate movement, c) to support the Pirate movement and strengthen its bonds internally and externally, and d) to promote and support human rights and fundamental freedoms. #Pirates4Ukraine: An International Pirate Campaign to support Ukrainian Refugees

  Pirate Parties International in collaboration with various PPI members are pleased to announce the official start of the ‘Pirates 4 Ukraine’ campaign. Pirates all over the world are devastated and angered by Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, the resulting humanitarian disaster, and the violence and repression towards both Ukrainians and anti-war activists in Russia. One of our brave colleagues and Chair of the Pirate Party of Norway, Svein Mork Dahl, is spending time at the Polish-Ukrainian border delivering aid to those who need it. This aid comes in a number of forms, be it food, housing, transportation, information and anything you might think of as being necessary for everyday survival. …

Dear Pirates, The PPI Board invites all of our members to join in a discussion and planning session around Pirate Aid for Ukraine. We would like to bring everyone together to coordinate our efforts on an international level to support Ukrainian refugees in a number of ways. This includes donations for medical supplies, food, travel expenses, as well as information sharing and infrastructure to support access to information. Dear Pirates, You are hereby invited to join Pirate Parties International for our first working group event of the year, “Introduction to PPI Standing Committees”. We felt that before we start getting the Standing Committees going again, it would be a good idea to have an introductory session first.
